I visited Rauza Sharif, Sirhind more than 30 years ago before I read about the ROLE OF SHAIKH AHMAD SIRHINDI, a fanatic Sunni Sufi, in the Martyrdom of Guru Arjun Dev Jee. S. Kapur Singh 9Ex-ICS) has exposed him in his Guru Nanak series lectures delivered in PU Patiala. Shaikh Sirhindi polluted the mind of Jehangir against the Sikh movement. Historical records establish the validity of Kapur Singh's allegation. I appreciate the ideas expressed by KBS to prove that BANDA SINGH was not anti-Muslim, who destroyed Sirhind brick by brick but kept Roza Sharif intact as a sign of Punjab's heritage.
