Very well penned!

Indeed, the gravity of such actions cannot be understated. When a head of state makes such incendiary comments on an international platform like the Parliament, it goes beyond simple diplomatic faux pas—it risks causing irreversible damage to long-standing bilateral relationships.

By following up with such dramatic steps as expelling an Indian diplomat and issuing a travel advisory, Trudeau has not only amplified the controversy but has also painted himself into a corner from which a graceful exit will be difficult. His conversations with world leaders like Joe Biden and Rishi Sunak add another layer of complexity to this already intricate diplomatic entanglement.

I concur that it represents a lapse on India's part as well, for not foreseeing this development and taking pre-emptive measures to avert a potential diplomatic crisis.

In the immediate term, radical elements supporting Khalistan abroad will likely feel invigorated, and, on the other end of the spectrum, some hardline groups within India may use this as fodder for their divisive agendas.

Trudeau appears to have placed short-term political calculations above responsible global statesmanship. The impact of this will not be easily undone and could take considerable time and diplomatic finesse to mitigate. For the sake of personal political benefit, he seems to have unleashed forces that could have far-reaching and potentially grave international consequences.

A balanced and detailed analysis on a very serious issue that is affecting people at a micro level. The people who will suffer the most in this crossfire are Indians ( more likely Punjabis) regardless of their status as Canadian citizens , OCI’s , Businessmen or students. Tourism is another casualty but with Hamas and Israel conflict , travel advisory will be issued soon probably for us all.

Trudeau like his father Pierre has rebel streak will be difficult to be tamed. Some comments recently by Australian security chief in California are not helpful. My sense is with elections looming in India , Trudeau’s lifeline in 15-17 MP’s from NDP ‘s hands who will milk him to the nth degree knowing that Liberals are not returning ,stalemated situation will remain for a while.

Trudeau government is at the mercy of its coalition party NDP ( Gurmeet Brar)whose sole agenda is Punjab politics not welfare of Canadians who have elected them. Trudeau ‘s immature act will turn into Waterloo for Liberal party and NDP. Canadians are sick and tired of Canadian soil being used for foreign political differences. Trudeau and his gang is on their way out in next election. There is widespread resentment against Liberals for embarrassing Canada .

Sad part is majority of Canadian citizens of Indian origin have nothing to do with a very minority’s actions are being painted

With the same brush. This is wrong.

I think that this article must be read by everyone in the Sikh Community in Canada. They should look for progressive engagement with Bharat that works better for spreading the message of Gurus. Trudeau is trying to play a captive politics to stay in power that is further dividing his own nation.

Prime Minister Trudeau’s allegation against India is deliberate because he wants to keep his vote bank protected. Unfortunately, Australia and the US have also asked India to cooperate with Canada in investigation of the murder of Nijjar. Some Canadian journalists and other important persons have trashed Trudeau for making a false allegation against India without any investigation by the Canadian Police.
