In the times when he had unchallenged authority and power to build a nation, he opted for blunders instead. His choice of first education minister is largely responsible for most of the socio-religious problems we have today. On the economic front, he rejected "Bombay Plan" to keep the resources in government hands, which resulted in already corrupt administration into an extremely corrupt government. While the constitution of the Constituent assembly was made to push the political power to the lowest level of society, but he ensured that aristocracy continued and middlemen continued to control the resources and hence the political power. His sceptical approach towards the homegrown industrialists and anti-private attitude is still reflective in the speeches of his great grandson. He should have learnt from Japan, which rebuilt itself in less than 15 years after world war II surrender.

Overall, I give him 3 out of 10 as a PM, and no way consider him to be a good choice.
