🔷 Introductory Note:
In this powerful and awe-inspiring pauri, Guru Arjan Dev Ji elevates the understanding of the Brahm Giani to its spiritual pinnacle. The Guru declares that such a being does not merely know the Divine—they become indistinguishable from the Divine Itself. The pauri blends expressions of love, detachment, teaching, grace, and awe to portray a soul so fully united with God that they command reverence from even the highest celestial beings. This is not due to personal merit alone, but because God Himself manifests through the Brahm Giani. Their presence radiates divine glory, and to have a glimpse of such a being is regarded as the reward of immense spiritual fortune.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਬੇਤਾ ॥
Hindi Transliteration (Devanagari): ब्रहम गिआनी ब्रहम का बेता ॥
English Transliteration (Italicised): Barahm gi▫aanee barahm kā bétā.
English Translation: The God-conscious being knows the essence of God.

English Translation: The God-conscious being loves the One alone.

English Translation: The God-conscious being radiates glorious power.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਬਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਾਈਐ ॥

English Transliteration (Italicised): Barahm gi▫aanee kā ḍaras baḍbhāgī pāīai.
English Translation: By great good fortune, one obtains the vision of the God-conscious being.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
Hindi Transliteration (Devanagari): ब्रहम गिआनी कउ बलि बलि जाईऐ ॥
English Transliteration (Italicised): Barahm gi▫aanee ka▫o bal bal jāīai.
English Translation: I am a sacrifice to the God-conscious being, again and again.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਉ ਖੋਜਹਿ ਮਹੇਸੁਰ ॥
Hindi Transliteration (Devanagari): ब्रहम गिआनी कउ खोजहि महेसुर ॥
English Transliteration (Italicised): Barahm gi▫aanee ka▫o khojah mahésur.
English Translation: Even great gods like Shiva search for the God-conscious being.

Gurmukhi:
ਨਾਨਕ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਆਪਿ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ॥੬॥
Hindi Transliteration (Devanagari): नानक ब्रहम गिआनी आपि परमेसुर ॥६॥
English Transliteration (Italicised): Nānak barahm gi▫aanee āp parmésur. ||6||
English Translation: O Nanak, the God-conscious being is himself merged into the Supreme Lord God. ||6||
🪔 Essence of the Pauri:
This pauri declares in the clearest terms that the Brahm Giani is not separate from God. They are the living embodiment of the Divine, awakened, fearless, wise, and immersed in love for the Eternal One. They teach with purity, live in freedom from worry, and shine with divine glory—not because of their own doing, but because God acts through them. Their presence is so rare and precious that even gods like Shiva seek their company. Guru Arjan Dev Ji concludes with a thunderous affirmation: the Brahm Giani is Paramēsur Himself—God in human form. To behold such a being is to touch the feet of the Infinite.

ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਹਿ।।
ਬਾਣੀ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਝ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਇਹ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਕਿ ਸਿਰਫ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਹੀ ਠੀਕ ਹਨ।
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਬੁੱਧੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੋ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ
ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਸੁਖਮਨੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਪੰਕਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਤੱਤ ਸਾਰ ਅਰਥ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਫਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਉਸ ਅਕਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੈ।ਉਹ ਉਸ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਤ ਵੀ ਸਿਰਫ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਸਕਦਾ। ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਆਪ ਪ੍ਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਹੈ।
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੀ ਦੁਰਵਰਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਸੰਤ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਵਾਂਗ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਵੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਪਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਾਂ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਤ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਤੋਂ ਘੱਟ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਅਖਵਾਉਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਰੋੜਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਹੈ।
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਚਾਣ ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੈ। ਤੱਤੀ ਤਵੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਕੇ, ਗਰਮ ਰੇਤਾ ਸੀਸ ਤੇ ਪੁਆ ਕੇ, ਦੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਬਾਲੇ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਚਾਂਦਨੀ ਚੌਂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਣਵਾ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਭਾਂਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਨ । ਇਹ ਕਾਰਜ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪ੍ਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ
ਸਿੱਧੂ ਸਾਬ,ਆਪ ਬਹੁਤ ਲਗਨ, ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਧਾ ਭਾਵਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪ ਜੀ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾਂ ਮਿਹਰ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਸੇਵਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ।
