🪶 Introduction
In this concluding pauri of the ninth Ashtpadi, Guru Arjan Dev Ji turns our focus entirely to the Supreme Being – Paarbrahm. The verses declare God's omnipresence, sovereignty, and mystery. All beings and conditions arise from His Will; He places each soul where He chooses, and whatever He wills comes to pass. Guru Sahib reminds us that while God pervades in countless forms, His divine play remains beyond comprehension. Ultimately, true joy comes from continual remembrance (simran) of this Eternal, Merciful Creator. This pauri reinforces the grandeur of God and the transformative bliss of meditative devotion.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੇ ਸਗਲੇ ਠਾਉ ॥

All places belong to the Supreme Lord God.

ਜਿਤੁ ਜਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਤੈਸਾ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਉ ॥

According to the homes in which He places them, so are His creatures named.

Aape karan karaavan jog.

He Himself is the Doer and the Enabler of all actions.

🌸 Essence of the Pauri
Guru Arjan Dev Ji concludes this Ashtpadi with a panoramic affirmation of the Supreme Lord’s absolute control, infinite manifestation, and enduring compassion. Every being, every condition, every action, and every name has its place in His grand design. Nothing occurs outside His Will, and yet His divine play remains hidden to our understanding. The soul’s enlightenment depends entirely on the wisdom He bestows. Recognising God as eternal and compassionate, the seeker is invited to engage in constant simran. It is through heartfelt remembrance alone that one attains inner bliss and freedom from worldly entanglement.
