"Chariot Analogy": Searching for thine own "self".
"Chariot Analogy": Searching for thine own "self". Decoded from verses of Kathopanishad.
This "Chariot Analogy" is derived from the Kathopanishad, one of the Upanishads. Most of the Upanishads are a part and parcel of the Vedas and pre-date the Bhagwad Gita by around 300 years. The Chariot Analogy is a wonderful way to understand how your own self/ soul/ Atman/ core substratum is different from your body, sense organs, mental faculties/ mind and finally your Intellect/ Budhi/ Vivek. Your soul uses the body-mind complex to traverse this terrestrial journey but is different and distinct from them. It owns the body, senses, mind and intellect but it is inherently and fundamentally different from them. It is hope that this short video would clarify some of these simple concepts, which can otherwise be quite confusing, if not obtuse.
Sharing an old YouTube video of mine, interpreting in English, some of the most imponderable questions about life that have been asked and answered succinctly by our ancient scriptures.
Even the youngsters might find it useful.
The tech-savvy youngsters might prefer might, however, prefer the analogy with a computer. Sharing the link to the said YouTube video, as well
Happy viewing. Comments are welcome, whether on YouTube or on SubStack.

A very befitting tribute to Indian politicians without prejudice to anybody. Ideology based politics is on the wane. It is personality based rather than symbolising the political master with the gods.
It is an indication of a great threat to indian democracy.
